SPbSRIVS has completed delivery of preventive flu vaccines under a government contract as part of the National Immunization Calendar, reported Mr. Stanislav Petrovsky, First Deputy Director at SPbSRIVS: “This year, SPbSRIVS was the the first one to timely complete delivery of more than 9 million doses of the influenza vaccine under a government contract and produced a total of 20 million doses of the influenza antigen used by our partners, among other things, in child influenza vaccines and vaccines approved for administration to pregnant women. This confirms that the GMP-compliant influenza antigen offered by SPbSRIVS will enjoy similar demand in the next year, as well.”
In 2016, SPbSRIVS expanded its production of the antigen for influenza vaccines by 12 million doses year-on-year, and the combined increase in production over the past three years was more than threefold. In total, the Russian Ministry of Health will purchase in 2016 approximately 48 million doses of the influenza vaccine for the National Immunization Calendar.
“In 2016, SPbSRIVS produced almost half of the total number of influenza vaccines required for the National Immunization Calendar. This makes us a leading supplier of influenza vaccines in Russia. Three years ago, few could foresee that – and today we are proud to confirm this milestone”, summed up Mr. Victor Trukhin, Director of SPbSRIVS.
