The potential of Venezuela to become the important center of vaccines production and export was one of the key topics of negotiations, which took place at the headquarters of the diplomatic representation of Venezuela in Moscow.
During the meeting, Ambassador of Venezuela in Russia Carlos Faría and Deputy Director of SPbSRIVS Andrey Vasiliev spoke about mutual interest in cooperation in the field of deliveries of medicines from Russia to Venezuela, as well as the production of pharmaceutical products, which will satisfy the national demand in Venezuela and will be able to take an important place in the pharmaceutical market of the Latin American region.

Chief LAC Regional Division of UNIDO Carlos Chanduvi Suárez said: “Following the meeting between Mr. Vasiliev and the representatives of specialized and regional departments UNIDO there was a great interest in the profile and experience of SPbSRIVS, in particular, the MECHNIKOV project, which combined the construction of production facilities and the transfer of Russian vaccine production technologies in the Republic of Nicaragua”.
Is expected, that both parts might concretize the arrangements during the next Interstate Commission at the highest level Russia-Venezuela, which will take place in Moscow and Sochi November 20-24, 2017.
